Jared Dillinger deliver the points when the team needed the most.
Dillinger scored a career best 31 points, to help the Texters past B-Meg Llamados. Dillinger stepped up in the absence of Jason Castro and Harvey Carey who were sidelined after getting injured in their last game against Barako Bulls.
Talk N Text improved their standings to 3-1, while the Llamados slipped to 1-3.
Kelly Williams made an impressive debut, helping out Dillinger carry his team. Talk N Text is still missing the services of Ranidel de Ocampo and Jimmy Alapag got injured in the second quarter with a sprained ankle.
Kelly scored 23 points, while Ali Peek is still a force in the paint grabbing 12 rebounds and scoring 13 points.
“Worry talaga ako kung tatagal kami sa game na ito with our team badly depleted. Fatigue did set
in, and we just dug in, sucked it up, continued to play defense and found a way to win in the
end,” said Talk n Text coach Chot Reyes.
Texters led as many as 16 points, but with a team like Llamados no lead is safe. Llamados fight their way back hitting on all cylinders, refusing to give up fight until the final seconds of game.
Kerby Raymundo who picked up his game in the second half lead the scoring for the Llamados with 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. James Yap chipped in 14 points and played 40 minutes.
The main man, Jared Dillinger, saved the Texters when he got the offensive rebound on a missed free throw by Ryan Reyes with 2.9 seconds to go.
