PBA Replay: Purefoods Star Hotshots vs Talk N Text Tropang Texters (March 6, 2016)
Hard work paid off for Purefoods Star Hotshots wingman, Allein Maliksi, as he almost single handedly carries his team past Talk N Text Tropang Texters, in PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Araneta Coliseum.
Talk N Text Tropang Texters led as much as 18 points, before Allein Maliksi exploded to help Purefoods Star Hotshots grabbed the lead at half time. TNT was leading 33-15, when Maliksi came off the bench to score 10 points in an 18-0 run. That gave them a 51-49 lead coming in to the half.
Opening the third quarter, Hotshots scored the first five points. But the Tropang Texters, made a run for themselves and launched a 15-2 run, to grabbed the lead 73-66 coming into the final period.
Purefoods Star Hotshots was firing from all cylinders in the pay off period to keep Talk N Text from tying the game. The closest the Tropang Texters can come is 89-87, after a jumper made by Ranidel De Ocampo. Jayson Castro had the chance to tie the game, but missed two crucial free throws. Allein Maliksi shoots in a dagger three to keep the game away from the Tropang Texters.
The finals score was 96-88. Bowles’ replacement, Ricardo Ratliffe chipped in 23 points for the Star Hotshosts. While Jayson Castro and De Ocampo led the way for the Texters with 18 and 15 points apiece.

PBA Replay: Alaska Aces vs Talk N Text Tropang Texters (February 24, 2016)
Alaska Aces was quick enough to brush the rust from their vacation and bounced back from their first game loss, to register their first win in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The Aces was playing catch up at the first half but was able to turn the tide around by making a rally to sneak past the defending champions Talk N Text Tropang Texters.
Alaska Aces and Talk N Text were parading new imports, and both were impressive and showed their brilliance by leading their teams in both scoring and rebounding.
David Simons, a replacement of Talk N Text import, Ivan Johnson, scored 35 points and grabbed 19 rebounds. While Dozier’s replacement, Shane Edwards puts up 36 points and pulled down 20 boards.
The Tropang Texters was leading 13 at the third quarter, before Alaska Aces made their run spearheaded by Jvee Casio, Chris Banchero and Edwards. Calvin Abueva made some crucial plays during the payoff period to seal the victory for the Aces.

Talk N Text will have to defend their title run without their import, Ivan Johnson who got banned from the PBA after a heated argument with the commissioner, Chito Narvasa.
The incident happened after Johnson was slapped for his second technical foul, after throwing and elbow to Meralco’s big man, Bryan Faundo. Johnson already had a technical foul prior to the incident.
The decision came to a shocked as the commissioner handed the decision while the game was going on. According to some witnesses, Johnson use profane languages to Narvasa before turning his back. That incident escalated immediately and the commissioner decided to banned Johnson from the PBA.
Also, along with banned is the fine of 250,000 for disrespecting the authority.
