Rain or Shine Elasto Painters dumps Alaska Aces, 120-84.
Jeff Chan waxing hot in the first half shooting 5-5 three pointers. Leading the way for the Painters with 20 points.
J.R Quinahan added 19 points, Ronjay Buenafe chipped in 17 points, and Larry Rodriguez contributed 16 points.
It was the Painters best performance this season as described by their outspoken coach, Yeng Guiao. In contrast, it was Alaska’s worst defeat this conference.
“It’s our best offensive game so far. I was worried before the game that this might be the day Alaska would get its bearing. It’s still not,” said Coach Yeng Guiao.
With the win, the Painters grab solo lead 4-1 after top seed Petron Blaze Boosters bow down to the Meralco Bolts.
Paul Lee had his lowest output of the season scoring 5 points, but it did not matter at all since his team mates step up and carry the load.
“It showed the balance that we have. Everybody made a contribution. It proved a point that we’re
not going to put all responsibilities on Paul’s shoulders,” said the fiery coach Yeng Guiao, who was later ejected on the third quarter.
L.A. Tenorio got his groove back leading the way for the Aces with 20 points, but it was not enough to carry his team.
