Meralco’s veteran guard, Gary David was fined and suspended by its PBA mother club. The incident sparked after David refuses to play in their last game against NLEX Road Warriors.
According to the Bolts association. Head coach, Norman Black asked Gary David to check into the game with four minutes left, but declined to play. In an interview by spin.ph, Garry David vent out his frustration for lack of playing time.
The incident cost him a one game suspension and an in disclose amount of fine for
2. Lack of dedication to the team;
3. Breach of contract which states that he’s obligated to play in official PBA games at all times.
In addition, the management said that Gary David’s behavior was unacceptable. The Bolts will still support David as a member of their ball club. But certain sanctions should be imposed to maintain discipline.
