San Miguel Beermen handed Meralco Bolts their first loss this conference and ended their winning streak, 94-86 in an out of town game held at Legazpi, Albay.
The Beermen catches fire where it matters most, and was able to snatch the victory from Meralco, with Tyler Wilkerson leading the way for San Miguel Beermen with 27 points. Despite having foul troubles early in the game, he managed to put up monster numbers and scored 13 points in the last eight minutes of the game, which gave them the momentous lead.
Gabby Espinas stepped up for Wilkerson while he was nursing foul trouble, contributing 13 points in just 14 minutes of play. Playmaker, Alex Cabagnot, and sharp shooter, Marcio Lassiter, chipping in 10 points apiece. The reigning MVP, Jun Mar Fajardo, managed to score nine points on 2-of-12 shooting, but grabbed 16 rebounds.
Meralco Bolts, managed to keep the game tight till the last minutes of the game. Leading the way for them is Arinze Onuaku, who has another impressive performance with 26 points and pulling down 30 rebounds. However, he did not get a balance compliment from the locals, with only Gary David scoring double digits with 12 points.
