Veteran Big man, Asi Taulava turns back the clock with another vintage performance against Blackwater Elite. The 43 years old, Fil-Tongan, big guy leads the way for the Road Warriors scoring 22 points and pulling down 15 rebounds, dishing out 4 assists and swatting two blocks.
NLEX Road Warriors was all business in the game leading as much as 16 points, but Blackwater Elite refused to give up easily, making a run for themselves in the fourth quarter and cutting the deficit into two.
But the Road Warriors were quick to answer a run of its own, sparked by the emphatic dunk of Al Thorton, NLEX blitz to an 11-1 run.
Blackwater’s rookies, Art Dela Cruz led the way for the Elites, contributing double-double performances with 16 points and 17 rebounds.

Blackwater Elites finally able to nailed their first win against Globalport Batang Pier, 115-103 during their last night match at Araneta Coliseum.
The Elites were led back, Mike Cortez, whose coming off from an injury, with 22 points and dishing out 7 assists, and MJ Rhett who top scored for Blackwater Elites with 30 points and 13 rebounds.
The game was all tied in the first quarter, when Blackwater launched a blitzkrieg attack late in the second quarter, which created the 16-2 run and grabbed the lead for good.
Globalport played without Stanley Pringles, who is still suffering from an ankle injury. Terrence Romeo also sits out in the third quarter to rest his calf injury, and returned in the fourth quarter. But, the damaged has been done, and it was too late for the Batang pier to turn the game into their favors.
Surprisingly, with the two guards almost sitting this game out, Joseph Yeo should fill in those voids. However, coach Pido Jarencio did not field in Joseph Yeo in the game.
Batang Pier was led by Calvin Warner with 26 points and 22 rebounds. Although sitting out in the third quarter, Terrence Romeo still able to put up 14 points.

It only took one win for the All Filipino Champs, San Miguel Beermen to be back on track and showed their dominance back in the court.
The Beermen dominated Blackwater with monster performances from Tyler Wilkerson, who dropped 35 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and blocked four shots. Jun Mar Fajardo, aslo chipped in 20 points and seven boards.
Blackwater managed to keep the game close at the first half, but San Miguel Beermen catch up fire in the second half and dominated the entire half. Arwind Santos and Marcio Lassiter led the barrage of three’s at the opening of the third quarter that gave SMB a 52 – 29 lead.
JP Eram led the scoring for Elites with 16 points. Seven players scored at least nine points for Blackwater. However, the balance scoring of Blackwater Elites is not enough to cover up MJ Rhett’s production, who finished 12 points on 4-of-12 shooting.
It was the second win (consecutive) for San Miguel Beermen. Which loss their debut game against Kia Mahindra. The loss came as a blessing in disguise for the Beermen, as it serves as a wake up call for them, according to head coach Leo Austira and Marcio Lassister.

Purefoods Star Hotshots was one of deadliest team couple of conferences ago. This night, they showed some flashes of that form. The Hotshots dumped Blackwater elite to bag their first win of the conference.
The Hotshots controlled the game early and never looked back. They were very active in both end and did not show any signs of slowing down during the game. They register the biggest lead of 28 points.
Purefoods Star Hotshots was spearheaded by former PBA best import, Denzel Bowles, with 28 points and eight rebounds. He was complimented very well by the one-time controversial Hotshot player, Allen Maliksi, who came off the bench to register 23 points.
Blackwater Elite was led by their import, MJ Rhett, who had another monster game with 30 points and 21 rebounds. While Carlo Lastimosa added 20 points, but was scoreless in the fourth quarter.
