After 4 years, Commerce United Football Club (CUFC) of USJ-R bags the Gold Medal in the Annual University days.
The days they woke up early for practices, extensive training and hard work paid off. After all those sacrifices, CUFC gain success. Commerce United Football Club are the Champions.
By just looking with the roster of CUFC everyone can bet that they are already the champions and CUFC proved it right. CUFC has a lot of veteran players led by their Captain George Ralloma, Clinton Pretal, Dan Cris Tayactac, Frederige Alob, Roderick Aspiras, Jake Briones, Eugene Ravelo and Ralf Kirschbaum. The addition of their price rookies, Michael Libron, Mark Espiritu, Ian Alob, Ritchie Tambor and Winrich Baclay had really help the team bag the gold.
Commerce United Football Club team captain and goalkeeper, George Michael Ralloma, expressed that their victory is fulfilling. Ralloma also mentioned that it was their defeat of last year finals against College of Information Communication and Computer Technology (CICCT) that made his team think that they should REFUSE TO LOSE. “We trained ourselves harder and we joined a lot of open competitions all over Cebu , ” he said.

The first game of CUFC was against their bitter rivals Engineering. CUFC def. Engineering (2-0) courtesy of Clinton Pretal’s 2 goals.
Second game was a win in favored to CUFC against CAS via default (1-0) . Commissioner Joselito Bono forfeited CAS because of some technicalities in the rules and regulations set by the Committee.
The third game was a massacre in the making against College of Nursing (18-1). CUFC proved to the Josenian community that they really REFUSE TO LOSE.
In the championship match garnering the score of 1-0, CUFC won over the football players of CICCT. During the game, it took time for any sides to acquire a goal but afterwards CUFC caught the ball and scored. CICCT could have tied the game but the ball went over the net.
